   1. GoTo: C:\Users\x\AppData\Local\2K Games\Mafia III\Data\#\gamesaves\default\aslot 2. Check the dates created of all 3 saves (0, 1 and 2) and delete the newest one 3. Copy + Paste the 2nd newest save game and rename the copy, so that you have save0, save1 and save2 once again 4. Resume playing. Worked for me :)

   From your Steam library, right-click on "Mafia III: Definitive Edition" game, and choose 'properties'. In the pop-up window, make sure you are on the 'LOCAL FILES' tab. (left side of window) Click on the button at top right that says "Browse..." This should open a Windows file explorer window that shows the location of your Mafia 3 game.
