MLS Next (stylized as MLS NEXT) is a youth soccer league in the United States and Canada that is managed, organized, and controlled by Major League Soccer. It was introduced by the league in 2020. It is a successor to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. The system covers the under-13, under-14, under-15, under-16, under-17 and under-19 age groups.
At the semi-professional level, the USL League Two and the National Premier Soccer League have teams. One professional league of women's soccer teams is sanctioned by U.S. Soccer, which is the top-level National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Another top-level professional league, the USL Super League, is set to begin play in the 2024–2025 season.
