The Central La Grange Historic District in La Grange, Kentucky is a 70 acres (28 ha) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It runs primarily along Washington, Main, and Jefferson Sts., Kentucky Ave., and First through Sixth Aves. [1] It includes the Oldham County Courthouse.
According to Little's Genealogy, Southard then formed a partnership with a talented young shipbuilder named Stanwood Alexander; the two of them building sixteen ships together from 1845 until Alexander's death in 1852. [5] Southard then continued as a sole trader, operating the business under the name T. J. Southard & Co.. [6]
The La Grange Village Hall, also known as the Lyons Township Hall, is a historic building at 53 S. LaGrange Road in La Grange, Illinois. Built in 1900, the building houses the offices of the village of La Grange and Lyons Township. It historically also hosted most of La Grange's community events and is home to an American Legion post.
