Gerry Bertier (/ ˈ ɡ ɛr i / GHERR-ee; August 20, 1953 – March 20, 1981) was a high school American football player and Paralympian. [1] He became known for his participation on the 1971 Virginia State Champion football T. C. Williams High School team, and their portrayal in the Disney film Remember the Titans.
The school has an enrollment of over 4,100 students. The high school is located near the geographic center of Alexandria. Titans are the school mascot and the school colors are blue, white and red. The school's football team was the subject of the 2000 film Remember the Titans. The school offers numerous Advanced Placement courses for its students.
