The Falcons' 1967 NAIA national championship was the State of West Virginia's first national title in football. [2] The 1967 Fairmont team was inducted into the Fairmont State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017. [3] The team played its home games at East-West Stadium in Fairmont, West Virginia.
