Hart Memorial Park (commonly called Hart Park) is a large public park in Kern County, California. It is located just north of Bakersfield (specifically the Northeast region). The park is 370 acres (150 ha), and contains two lakes and three canals. It was named after County Supervisor John Hart, who spearheaded the project.

The facility is 1,012 acres (4.10 km 2), and includes a park, zoo, golf course, and other amenities. [1] The complex is served by Alfred Harrell Highway. The segment to the west of the park was built as a 4-lane local freeway.

Irvine Regional Park, created in 1897, now occupies much of the lowermost Santiago Creek Canyon, between Santiago Creek Dam and Villa Park Reservoir. The park was created officially on October 5 of that year as "Orange County Park", and originally it consisted of 160 acres (0.65 km 2 ) of woodland along the riparian course of Santiago Creek.
