Rajaram I (Rajaram Bhonsale, Marathi pronunciation: [[ɾaːd͡ʒaɾaːm ˈbʱos(ə)le]; 24 February 1670 – 3 March 1700) [2] was the third Chhatrapati of the Maratha Kingdom, who ruled from 1689 to his death in 1700.
Between 1926 and 1975 he wrote more than 60 books in Marathi and English. He was not only an accomplished historian but also an avid writer and storyteller. His first book “Stenography for India” was published in 1923 and his last book before his death was “ Rajaram ” in 1975.
The title of "Senasahibsubha" (meaning Master of provinces and armies) was bestowed on Parsoji Bhonsle by Chhatrapati Rajaram, along with rights to regions of Devgad, Gondwana, Chanda and Varhad from where he could exact tribute and effectively settle.
