Area code 901 as of 1947-1954. Area code 901 was one of the original North American area codes created in 1947 for the first nationwide telephone numbering plan. It served the entire state of Tennessee until 1954, when the state was divided in a flash cut into two numbering plan areas.

Chief Auto Parts was a United States–based auto parts store chain that had stores located in the states of Tennessee, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Arkansas and California. Chief was founded in 1955 in Norwalk, California, by Vern Johnson and Lorin Tuthill. The company grew to 119 stores when it was sold to Southland in 1979.
By the early 2000s, the mall had begun to lose tenants due to shifting demographics and a number of vacant big-box stores in the area. The Dillard's store closed in early 2006. In 2021, CubeSmart replaced the former Sears space. CubeSmart closed in mid to late 2022 and was replaced by Extra Space Storage which is still open as of November 2024. [5]
