The main roads through Saint George are Georgia State Route 94 which runs west to east through the Georgia Bend from two separate bridges of the Saint Mary's River, and Georgia State Routes 121 and 23 which run north and south from a bridge over the Saint Mary's River through Folkston, then branch off separately while being overlapped by US 1-23 and 301 in Homeland.
The highway then curves back to the east-northeast. In St. George, it intersects SR 23/SR 121. It continues to the east-northeast and leaves St. George just before it reaches its eastern terminus, a second instance with the Florida State line. Here, the roadway continues as County Road 2 (CR 2), over a second crossing of the St. Marys River. [2]
In 1952, an unnumbered road was established from Camp Cornelia east to SR 23 south-southwest of Folkston. [7] [8] Between June 1960 and June 1963, SR 121 was extended on SR 23. [9] [10] In 1976, this road was designated as SR 121 Spur. [3] [4] In 1993, the spur route was decommissioned. [5] [6] The entire route was in Charlton County.
