The Darius David Johnston House, is a historic house and museum in Norwalk, California. Constructed from 1890 to 1891, it is a two-story building in the Stick and Eastlake styles. It is sometimes called the Hargitt Ranch House for the constructor, Darius Daivd Johnston's daughter, Cora Hargitt.

C.B. "Bud" Johnston (June 3, 1931 – October 24, 2003) [1] [2] [3] was born and raised in the community of Creighton Mine near Sudbury. He later attended the University of Western Ontario, where he joined the Delta Upsilon fraternity. He received an HBA degree (Honours Business Administration) in 1954 and an MBA in 1957.
The museum was first opened in 1959 in North Brunswick, New Jersey as the Johnston Memorial Museum. [2] With the relocation of the Scouting America National Headquarters from New Jersey to Texas, the museum closed in 1979. [3] In 1986 the museum reopened on the campus of Murray State University in western Kentucky. [4]
The Country Heritage Park (Formerly the Ontario Agricultural Museum) is located next to Highway 401 and the Niagara Escarpment in Milton, Ontario, Canada, and recreates rural life in the 19th century in Ontario. During the day it also acts as a private school and office, and hosts parties at night.
Johnston was born on June 28, 1941, in Sudbury, Ontario, [4] [5] to Lloyd Johnston, the owner of a hardware store, [6] and Dorothy Stonehouse. He attended Sault Collegiate Institute in Sault Ste. Marie, where he played quarterback for the football team [7] and under-17 hockey with future National Hockey League (NHL) members Phil and Tony Esposito [8] and Lou Nanne. [7]
