The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP; transl. Common Man's Party) is a political party in India. It was founded on 26 November 2012 by Arvind Kejriwal and his then-companions, [28] following the 2011 Indian anti-corruption movement against then government of Indian National Congress. The AAP is currently the governing party in the Indian state of Punjab.
In 2012, Arvind Kejriwal founded the Aam Aadmi Party to fight corruption and improve governance. The party made its mark in the 2013 Legislative Assembly election , but his first government lasted only 49 days.

Sanjay Singh (born 22 March 1972) is an Indian politician, activist, national spokesman for Aam Aadmi Party, a member of the Rajya Sabha from Delhi. He was active with Arvind Kejriwal in his campaigns from the Right To Information campaign in 2006 to the IAC movement led by social activist Anna Hazare.
