Lee County is a county located in the U.S. state of Illinois. According to the 2020 census , it has a population of 34,145. [ 1 ] Its county seat is Dixon . [ 2 ]

The state does have a Lee County (founded 1839) named after Henry Lee III, the father of Robert E. Lee, who at one time served in Illinois. Illinois also has two counties named after the same person, New York governor DeWitt Clinton (DeWitt County, and Clinton County).
Lee is located on the border of DeKalb and Lee counties at (41.794240, -88.940951 Viking Vie, the main street of the village, follows the county line. It is 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Rochelle and 17 miles (27 km) southwest of DeKalb.

Bradford Township is one of twenty-two townships in Lee County, Illinois, USA.As of the 2010 census, its population was 324 and it contained 124 housing units. [2] Ashton Township (originally called Ogle Township) was formed from part of Bradford Township on February 12, 1861.
Willow Creek Township is located in Lee County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 688 and it contained 277 housing units. [ 2 ] Willow Creek Township was formed from Wyoming Township in September, 1854.
