Dewa 19 (pronounced in Indonesian as Dewa Sembilan Belas) is an Indonesian rock band from Surabaya, East Java, led by singer-songwriter Ahmad Dhani. Along with God Bless and Slank , they are dubbed as one of the greatest rock bands in the history of Indonesian popular music.
Republik Cinta is the 8th studio album by Dewa 19 and was released in January 2006 in Indonesia; the title translates into "Republic of Love". The album reached #1 on the Indonesian album charts and has since been released in other Asian territories including Malaysia and a Chinese release via EMI in Hong Kong.
He dismissed rumors that Dewa 19 was finished. "I will focus on Mahadewa, my new band, and Dewa 19 still exists", he said. In January 2012, Mahadewa announced that its debut album would soon be released, containing five new songs and five covers of Dewa 19 songs. The album's first single, "Cinta Itu Buta", was released in mid-2012.

Considered as Kolopaking's signature song, "Dengan Menyebut Nama Allah" was a commercial success and boosted Dwiki's popularity. It entered the Aneka Top 13 Hits Indonesia chart at number seven, marking Kolopaking's only Islamic song to chart. The song received positive reviews from critics, who praised the lyrics.
After his dismissal from Dewa 19, Lasso became a solo singer. [4] He released his first solo album, the commercially successful Sendiri Dulu, that year which sold over 500.000 copies. Two years later, he released his most successful album Keseimbangan, which featured two songs performed with Dhani. This album sold more than 800.000 copies.
