Valencia is located in a central valley, surrounded by a mountain range called the Coastal Range (Cordillera de la Costa). On the eastern outskirts of the city lies Lake Valencia, Venezuela's second-largest lake. To the West and Northeastern part there are mountains. To the south is an extension of the Venezuelan grasslands, the Llanos.

The Valencia terminus was at Camoruco, 3 km from the city center, and plans were made for a tramway (initially horse-drawn) to the Plaza Bolívar. [1] Guzman Blanco also approved a railway from Valencia to Caracas, the Great Venezuela Railway, built by a German company. The Valencia terminus was at San Blas, relatively near the city center. [1]
The Valencia Municipality is one of the 14 municipalities that makes up the Venezuelan state of Carabobo and, according to the 2011 census by the National Institute of Statistics of Venezuela, the municipality has a population of 829,856. [1] The city of Valencia is the shire town of the Valencia Municipality. [2]
The stations are in the Valencia and Naguanagua municipalities and is over 6 km long. [ 1 ] Monumental , formerly named Plaza de Toros : One of the main terminals of the Metro was one of the first stations to open in November 2007 and is still one of the busiest stations on this line.

The V South American Games (Spanish: Juegos Sudamericanos; Portuguese: Jogos Sul-Americanos) were a multi-sport event held in 1994 in Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela, with some events in Puerto Cabello (boxing, judo, karate, wrestling) and Caracas (shooting). The Games were organized by the South American Sports Organization . [1]
