US Post Office-Parkville Station, originally known as Station "Y," is a historic post office building located at Bensonhurst in Brooklyn, New York, United States.It was built in 1936, and designed by consulting architect Carroll H. Pratt for the Office of the Supervising Architect.
Bensonhurst derives its name from Egbert Benson (1789–1866), whose children and grandchildren sold his lands to James D. Lynch, a New York real estate developer. Lynch bought the old farmlands from the Benson family in the mid-1880s, and by 1888, began selling private lots in an area dubbed as Bensonhurst-by-the-Sea, now Bath Beach . [ 9 ]

Bay Ridge is a neighborhood in the southwest corner of the New York City borough of Brooklyn.It is bounded by Sunset Park to the north, Dyker Heights to the east, the Narrows and the Belt Parkway to the west, and Fort Hamilton Army Base and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to the south.
Borough Park [6] (also spelled Boro Park [7] [8]) is a neighborhood in the southwestern part of the borough of Brooklyn, in New York City.The neighborhood is bordered by Bensonhurst to the south, Dyker Heights to the southwest, Sunset Park to the west, Kensington and Green-Wood Cemetery to the northeast, Flatbush to the east, and Mapleton to the southeast.
The district overlaps with Brooklyn Community Boards 10, 11, 13, and 15, and with New York's 8th, 10th, and 11th congressional districts. It also overlaps with the 17th, 23rd, and 26th districts of the New York State Senate, and with the 45th, 46th, 47th, 49th, 51st and 64th districts of the New York State Assembly. [4]
Situated on the northwestern corner of the junction is the city's post office. The route heads west, following Church Street out of the city's center. [3] At Bensonhurst Avenue, ownership and maintenance of NY 9N shifts from the city of Saratoga Springs to the New York State Department of Transportation. [4]
