The C.F. Mueller Company was founded in 1867 and built one of the biggest and most-advanced pasta factories in the United States at 180 Baldwin Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey. At one time, Mueller's Macaroni became the largest selling brand of pasta in America. It is owned by Winland Foods. [1]

Pasta extruder at the Warminster, Pennsylvania, factory V. La Rosa and Sons Macaroni Company was founded in 1914 by Vincenzo La Rosa, a Sicilian immigrant. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The company eventually became one of the largest regional brands in the United States producing over 40 varieties of pasta.
In 1986, Quaker Oats Company purchased the Golden Grain Company from the DeDomenico family. [5] In 2001, the Quaker Oats Company was purchased by PepsiCo . American Italian Pasta Company bought the Golden Grain brand in 2003, but the sale did not include Rice-a-Roni, which remained with the Quaker Oats division of PepsiCo.
Dakota Growers Pasta Company is an American brand of pasta and food processing, currently owned by 8th Avenue, a company of Post Holdings. The former Dakota Growers agricultural processing company was located in Carrington, North Dakota, having started in 1990 as a wheat-growers cooperative. In 2002, Dakota Growers became a public company. [2]
It launched with a gluten free protein pasta made from chickpeas. [4] Time named it as one of the best inventions of 2015. [5] It later launched other products, including mac and cheese in 2016 and rice in 2019. [4] By 2023, it was available in 25,000 retail locations in the United States. [4]
