Long Island Beach is a former amusement park located in Whitewater Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. The property was acquired by John Pope in 1888, and in 1924, John's son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Dolores Pope opened a park on the site. The park, often compared to a miniature Coney Island was in operation from 1924 through 1956. [1]
It is the only Newport Township statewide. [4] In 1833, Newport Township contained a meeting house, several brick school houses, two dry goods stores, and a flour mill. [5] The Hildreth Covered Bridge in Newport Township is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

LBI is approximately 18 miles (29 km) in length, which includes three miles (5 km) of marsh protected as part of Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge located on the southern tip.

Newport is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cynthian Township, Shelby County, Ohio, United States. [3] The community is located along the former Miami and Erie Canal and at the intersection of State Routes 47 and 66. The population was 169 at the 2020 census.
From the north end of the bridge, the northern approach road has a sharp U-curve to the southeast to its end at an intersection with OH 7. OH 7 heads west through Newport toward Marietta and northeast toward Matamoras. The Ohio portion of the bridge and its approach road is part of the 0.42-mile-long (0.68 km) OH 807. [1]
Zoombezi Bay (/ z uː m ˌ b iː z i ˈ b eɪ /) is a 22.7-acre (9.2 ha) water park owned by the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium near Powell, Ohio just north of Columbus.The park sits on the site of the former Wyandot Lake Adventure Park, [1] which was purchased by the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in 2006.
