The 2021–22 Arizona State Sun Devils men's basketball team represented Arizona State University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Sun Devils were led by seventh-year head coach Bobby Hurley, and played their home games at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, Arizona as members of the Pac–12 Conference.
Arizona State spent their entire season hovering around the .500 mark. The team alternated short winning and losing streaks and were only one more than 3 away from an even record. Despite this consistent mediocrity, ASU had put themselves, partly due to the difficulty of their schedule, into a potential NCAA tournament appearance by mid-January.

After starting the season 1–2, head coach Herm Edwards was fired on September 18. Shaun Aguano took over as interim head coach.
The transition was funded by a $32 million donation by multiple parties (including former ASU hockey players). As a transitionary season, the Sun Devils played a split schedule between ACHA and NCAA games during the 2015–16 season, before migrating exclusively to NCAA play the following season.

Arizona State University announced the addition of women's club ice hockey in August 2015, with play scheduled to begin the following season in August 2016. [1] The team would play its home games at Oceanside Ice Arena, the same venue as the men's team and just miles from campus. Arizona native Lindsey Ellis would serve as the head coach.
