Center Parcs UK and Ireland [2] [3] (formerly Center Parcs UK) is a short-break holiday company that operates six holiday villages in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, with each covering about 400 acres (1.6 km 2) of woodland.
In 2001, the UK locations separated from the continental Europe locations and formed a separate company, Center Parcs UK. [1] In 2003, Scottish & Newcastle sold the Continental European sites to a joint venture of Pierre & Vacances (P&V) and DBCP, a German investment group. This was given the name Center Parcs Europe (CPE).
The project, near Hawick, promises an investment of £350m and could create 1,200 jobs.

In February 2004 LGV and Candover sold their 28% stake back to management in a deal that valued the firm at more than £1 billion.
