Post Falls is a city in Kootenai County, Idaho, United States. It is the gateway city to Northern Idaho off Interstate 90 , just west of Coeur d'Alene , and east of Spokane, Washington . The population was 38,485 at the 2020 census , [ 3 ] making it Idaho's ninth-largest city and the second largest city in North Idaho behind Coeur d’Alene.

Idaho State University (ISU) is a public university operated by the state of Idaho. Originally an auxiliary campus of the University of Idaho and then a state college, it became the second university in the state in 1963. The ISU campus is in Pocatello, with outreach programs in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Falls, Boise, and Twin Falls.

The Idaho Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of three counties in eastern Idaho, anchored by the city of Idaho Falls. As of the 2020 census, the MSA had a population of 154,855. It is just north of the Pocatello, Idaho Metropolitan Area. [1] [2]
