The Infiniti Q50 is a compact executive car [4] manufactured by Nissan for its luxury brand, Infiniti.Replacing the G37 sedan, it debuted at the 2013 North American International Auto Show and went on sale in North America in the third quarter 2013 and in Europe in fourth quarter 2013.
The Infiniti QX50, marketed also until 2013 as the Infiniti EX (North America) and Nissan Skyline Crossover (Japanese Domestic Market|JDM), is a front- or all-wheel drive, five passenger, five-door compact luxury crossover SUV, manufactured and marketed by Infiniti, Nissan's luxury division over three generations: one generation as the EX followed by two QX50 generations.
The FX used the same components as the G35 sport coupe and was designed for American tastes. It combined good handling and performance with station wagon-like versatility and all-weather capability. In 2004, Infiniti added an all-wheel drive version of the G35 sports sedan to compete with similar all-wheel drive sports sedans from Audi and BMW.
Infiniti established a new naming convention beginning with the 2014 model year; all passenger cars are designated by the letter "Q," while sport-utility model names begin with "QX." The Infiniti G was to have been replaced by the Infiniti Q50, but the G37 was revived as the Q40 beginning with the 2015 model year.
