Jerry Bishop (October 19, 1935 – April 21, 2020) was an American announcer, radio host and radio personality. Bishop is best known as the announcer for the American courtroom television show, Judge Judy , for 23 years from 1997 until his death in 2020.

Judith Bishop was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1972. She holds an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, an MFA in Writing from Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Melbourne. In 1994 she received the Rae and Edith Bennett Travelling Scholarship for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom.
