Was the "Home and Bargains" store in Dovecot Parade, Dovecot, Liverpool the first actual branch of Home Bargains before the store in Old Swan? On 26th January 2023, Quality Save was sold to TJ Morris, owner of Home Bargains, with all stores to rebrand to the Home Bargains brand. Later in August 2023, TJ Morris would contact the stores of Stalybridge, Atherton, Chorley and Darwen, notifying them that their store would close down for good. These closures were completed by October 2023.

Home Retail Group plc was a British retail company established on 10 October 2006, following the spin-off of Argos Retail Group (ARG) from GUS plc. It was listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The group primarily comprised two retailers: Argos and Homebase , as well as in-house brands such as Chad Valley and Habitat .
On December 5, 2000, after several dramatically unprofitable years, it announced that 67 stores would be converted to a home decorating superstore chain, House2Home, and the remainder closed. House2Home would fare no better, filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on November 7, 2001, and ceasing operations by early 2002 after 19 years of service.
