The exuberant bouquet of roses is said to be one of Van Gogh's largest, most beautiful still life paintings. Van Gogh made another painting of roses in Saint-Rémy, which is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. [1] When Van Gogh left Saint-Rémy on May 16 both rose paintings with very thick paint were left behind to dry.
Pink Roses is an 1890 painting by Vincent van Gogh, one of his last works. [1] It is now in the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, to which it was donated by Helga Jacobsen in 1923 - its catalogue number is MIN 1843. It was painted during the last two months of his life, May to July 1890, which he spent in Auvers-sur-Oise. [2]

They are 4–6 centimetres (1 + 1 ⁄ 2 – 2 + 1 ⁄ 2 in) in diameter with five petals. Like other roses it has a quintuscial aestivation.
Flowers are pale pink and darker pink on petal backs. Flowers come in large, open clusters of 3–15, and have a moderate, sweet fragrance. The flowers have a high-centered to cupped bloom form. Buds are pointed. The leaves are large, leathery, and dark green with rounded leaflets. The plant's sturdy, upright stems make it a popular cutting rose.
