Fletcher School questions. Thanks for reading this, foremost. I have a series of questions: I am 33 year old veteran (disabled combat vet) who graduated from a bachelors degree program in foreign languages with a 3.4 . I speak spanish, french, german and Russian. I will apply for the MALD 2 year program. Would you say I am a highly competitive ...
The rebrand. On November 16th, social media channels for The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy unveiled a new name, logo, sigil, and slogan. Sigil. New Logo + Slogan. Instead of " The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy ", it would now be known as " Fletcher, The Graduate School of Global Affairs at Tufts University ."
Not to be too succinct: Yes. I've found the quality to be high, name recognition to be high, and the students extremely passionate and motivated. MIB students can leverage connections within the greater Boston academic community (HBS classes) to bolster their particular interests. But, like all Master's program, it's as good as you make it and ...
Tufts is a very well-regarded university in America and is especially strong in international relations. However, American lawyers generally do not regard Fletcher as a law school—rather, virtually all American lawyers familiar with Tufts would report that it does not have a law school at all.
Likewise, traditional MBA programs/schools cut several ways ex. Some are much stronger in banking vs. consulting; others are stronger in one industry vs. others, a regional school, etc. That said, I'm worried Fletcher's MIB is pretending to be an MBA when clearly is not. Fletcher needs concentrations beyond Peace MALD or War MALDs and its fledging business degrees (that are an awkward fit anyway) to help graduate students focus specialty areas. Fletcher needs to more consciously focus on giving its graduates marketable skills and certifications (e.g., data analysis). Opportunities are out there to do it, but ...
Advice Required: The Hertie School MIA v/s The Fletcher School MGA. Hey guys, I have received admits from The Hertie School for their 24-month MIA program and from the Fletcher School for their 16-month MGA program. Tuition and living expenses aside (on which Hertie is the clear winner), I want to know this community's thoughts about either or ...
the fletcher school is comparatively pretty small too, so class size may be smaller if youre worried about that. also, both schools have different vibes from what ive seen and heard. i dont know too much about gu's campus since i didnt get the chance to visit, but it seems much more like a traditional grad school masters program, whereas ...
This subreddit is for all those interested in working for the United States federal government. Since the application process itself is often nothing short of herculean and time-consuming to boot, this place is meant to serve as a talking ground to answer questions, better improve applications, and increase one's chance of being 'Referred'.
Long answer: it depends. Depends on a lof of things, but I'd say for sure it's worth it if you want to study international business in quantitative way but haven't had chance to! Know someone who did it on a full ride and is now director at a MM IB. Probably the less likely outcome tho.
