Cynthia Marie Lummis Wiederspahn (/ ˈ l ʌ m ɪ s / LUH-miss; [1] born September 10, 1954) is an American attorney and politician serving as the junior United States senator from Wyoming since 2021. A member of the Republican Party , Lummis served as the U.S. representative for Wyoming's at-large congressional district from 2009 to 2017.
Wiederspahn was the husband of Wyoming's United States senator Cynthia Lummis. They had one daughter, Annaliese. [4] His widow is a Republican. [5] Wiederspahn died of a heart attack in Cheyenne on October 24, 2014. [4] [6] He was buried at Beth El Cemetery.
It is managed by the Ranch A Restoration Foundation as an education center. [2] It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. [1] On April 23, 2013, Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis introduced the Ranch A Consolidation and Management Improvement Act (H.R. 1684; 113th Congress). [6]
