Cluj-Napoca (/ ˈ k l uː ʒ n æ ˌ p oʊ k ə / KLOOZH-na-POH-kə; Romanian: [ˈkluʒ naˈpoka] ⓘ), or simply Cluj (Hungarian: Kolozsvár [ˈkoloʒvaːr] ⓘ, German: Klausenburg), is a city in northwestern Romania. It is the second-most populous city in the country [5] and the seat of Cluj County.
The commune is situated in the northern foothills of the Apuseni Mountains, at an altitude of 704 m (2,310 ft), on the banks of the river Călata.It is located in the western part of the county, in the Țara Călatei historical region of Transylvania, 15 km (9.3 mi) south of Huedin and 60 km (37 mi) west of the county seat, Cluj-Napoca.
