I find 1934 as the date as when Henry Ruschmann (note spelling) invented glitter, from New York magazine. The "Mister Ruschman [sic]" and "World War II", seems to be from a bunch of other people quoting each other or Wikipedia" As a lark, I've been trying to find the original patent for glitter, and I can't find a patent for glitter for anyone.
