The Ben Schwartzwalder Trophy goes to the winner of the West Virginia and Syracuse football game. The trophy was introduced in 1993 and is named after former WVU football player and Syracuse head coach Ben Schwartzwalder, who had died in March of that year. [137] The trophy weighs 55 pounds and was sculpted by Syracuse player Jimmy Ridlon.
