Anthurium: A Caribbean Studies Journal, established in 2003, is a peer-reviewed open access web-only, academic journal that publishes original works by Caribbean writers and scholars, including on visual art, current issues in Caribbean studies, and travelogues.
The journal is published for the University of the West Indies by Taylor & Francis. One of the oldest periodicals in the English-speaking Caribbean, it was established in 1949. [1] The editor of Caribbean Quarterly is Kim Robinson-Walcott (University of the West Indies). [2] There is an associated monograph series. [3]
Sandra Pouchet was born in Trinidad, and undertook studies for her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the United States. [2] From 1974 to 1977, she taught at the University of the West Indies, Mona, and she then held Assistant Professorships at the University of Hartford (1977–1985) and the University of Pennsylvania (1985–1992), before joining the University of Miami.
