Soul Eater (Japanese: ソウルイーター, Hepburn: Sōru Ītā) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo.Set at the "Death Weapon Meister Academy", the series revolves around three teams, each consisting of a weapon meister and at least one human that can transform into a weapon.

Lord Death summons Death Scythe, Marie Mjolnir, Yumi Azusa, and Justin Law to discuss the new threat Asura poses, though Death Scythe fears it also means he will be demoted. Fortunately for Death Scythe, he remains as Lord Death's weapon while Marie becomes Stein's partner. Azusa searches for Asura while Justin remains on standby.
