Wayne Michael Gardner AM [1] (born 11 October 1959) is an Australian former professional motorcycle and touring car racer. He competed in the Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championships from 1986 to 1992, most prominently as a member of the Honda factory racing team where he became the first Australian to win motorcycling's premier class in 1987. Tait was born on 11 April 1991. On 27 April 2013, he had a motorcycle accident Wollongong, New South Wales resulted in him breaking his T11 vertebra and becoming a paraplegic. [3] Tait attended Chevalier College with his twin brother James. [4] He has completed a two-year course in computer-aided design detailing at TAFE.
