I tend to eat fruit , crackers, and Gatorade when I don’t feel like eating, I’ve also eaten a lot of soup, with lots of veggies and smoothies or juices. I’ve been better this past year as my ductir tells me every visit that I must eat something 3 day, I tell her coffee or juice and pills is usually my breakfast, lol. You are definitely ...

It’s easy to make and tastes great on almost anything. I just take a couple medium tomatoes, de-seed and dice; a medium white onion, diced; one jalapeno, diced and de-seeded (or with seeds if you like heat); a good handful of cilantro, chopped. Mix it all in a bowl and squeeze juice of one lime (or 2 if small).

Shakes are great for getting in the things you don’t want to eat…I am always low on magnesium so I throw in a ton of spinach with my smoothies. I will check out Forks Over Knives – sounds interesting. Part time veganism sounds good, as long as you don’t binge when you go out to eat, haha. Don’t want to shock your body.

PS — All this talk of watermelon. It’s one food I’d like to like, but just can’t. My mom told the story of the first time I had watermelon. I was about 2 years old. I took a bite and said, “It’s good. But I don’t like it!” And that has been my opinion ever since. It looks good. It sounds good and juicy. But the taste? Blech!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Always good to encourage new hobbies especially when there is a loss from what we were able to do before. That was a great idea! Cooking allows me to feel like I’m doing “something ” even when it’s hard for me to be active it’s still something that just gives me that feeling of being active without all the sweat and extra energy spent ...

Our fur babies are such good therapy for us. As puppies they need/demand our attention all the time. They are work – they eat, need to potty, they wake from nap, need potty, they play, need potty, their little sharp teeth – bring out the band aids, they grab anything and everything and run.
