Perhaps you didn't read my post. I HAVE done a clean reset - twice. My question is - does the MS clean reset take the drive back to 0's and 1's. That is what other programs do - like DBAN or WipeDrive. But since it keeps the OS in place, I wasn't sure if MS did the same. Thanks. Kathy

Commonly using the built-in Reset feature of Windows 10/11 will delete all the data on the hard drive. Just make sure to select the "Remove everything" option. Another option is to clean-install Windows. In the installation process, delete all the partitions then create a new one before reinstalling the Windows.
