Association of Fastpitch Professionals (AFP) is a professional women's fastpitch softball league in the United States consisting of independent teams in collaboration to create a platform for competition at the highest level. The International Softball Congress (ISC) is a non-profit association for the promotion and administration of men's and boys fastpitch softball throughout North America with athletes coming from all over the world. [1] [2] The ISC was formed in 1958 as an amalgamation of the National Softball Congress and the International Softball League.

The team was founded in 1947 by William S. Simpson as the Raybestos Girl All-Stars. [5] Over the years the team name has changed to Raybestos Brakettes (1948), Hi-Ho Brakettes, Stratford Brakettes, or Connecticut Brakettes (2006). [1]
