I took my jack stands in to Harbor Freight yesterday... 2 sets of 6-ton and 1 set of 3-ton jack stands. Got a little over $100 back. Once they get more of the 6-ton ones in stock that aren't affected by the recall, I intend on grabbing a couple sets again.

I've got an old grey set that's really thick plastic and a slightly newer black set that's kinda flimsy in comparison. Both around 10 years old give or take and probably from the same factory in China as the Harbor Freight ones. I think I got them at WalFart or Autozone. I always use a combination of ramps, floor jack, jack stands and wheel chocks.

I don't use Harbor Freight jack stands. I use 6 ton jack stands made by AC Delco and some 3 ton stands ...
I have a harbor freight 2.5 ton orange jack I have had for about 5 years with zero problems...I think I paid $30 for it at a sidewalk sale. I also have harbor freight jackstands and some other ones I bought at advance auto parts. IMO jackstands are jackstands...there isn't much to them. pretty simple design and engineering.
I use the 6 ton Harbor Freight stands all the time, sometimes I only use one. They work fine. Our trucks are nowhere near 6 tons anyway. If they were I might be more fearful with them. I would be a lot more nervous using 3 ton stands from another brand that's for sure

I'm sure they are fine as the jeep has been on them for quite a while given my slow progress on this project. I also have a pair of 3 ton stands under...
