Thomas Peter Keenan (1866–1927), from Castletownroche, County Cork, Ireland, is the composer of such songs as "The Boys From The County Armagh", "A Mother's Love's A Blessing" and "The Old Rustic Bridge by the Mill." His songs have been widely recorded, most recently by Louise Morrisey, Foster and Allen and Daniel O'Donnell. [1]
"The Voyage" is a song by Irish singer-songwriter Johnny Duhan. Duhan first offered it to the Irish singer Christy Moore , whose 1989 recording became the most well-known version of the song. Duhan went on to record his own version for his similarly titled album The Voyage that was released much later in 2005.
It is frequently found in spiritual/inspirational collections, such as the Doris Day album You'll Never Walk Alone and the Perry Como album I Believe, [2] as well as in many Hymnals.
