"Do You Believe Me Now" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Vern Gosdin. It was released in November 1987 as the first single from the album Chiseled in Stone. The song reached #4 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. [1] Gosdin wrote the song with Max D. Barnes.
He immediately had success with "Do You Believe Me Now", and scored another No. 1 hit with a tribute to Ernest Tubb called "Set 'Em Up Joe". [3] Gosdin's " Chiseled in Stone ", co-written with Barnes, won the Country Music Association's Song of the Year award in 1989 and earned them a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Country Song .
