Hazbin Hotel is an American adult animated musical comedy television series created by Vivienne "VivziePop" Medrano. [1] [4] The series revolves around Charlie Morningstar, princess of Hell, on her quest to find a way for sinners to be "rehabilitated" and allowed into Heaven, via her "Hazbin Hotel", as an alternative to Heaven's annual "Extermination" of souls due to Hell's overpopulation.
The animation was produced by SpindleHorse Toons, with Bento Box Entertainment. [8] [9] A teaser for "Overture" was released on December 21, 2021, [10] with the episode's first song, "Happy Day in Hell", being released as a further teaser on October 14, 2023.
Hazbin Hotel Season 1 featured a whopping 16 songs over the course of its eight episodes. While there will also be eight episodes in Season 2, there is going to be even more music featured.

Charlie's first animated appearance was in the 2018 music video for "Inside of Every Demon Is a Rainbow", released October 6, 2018, one year prior to the release of the pilot episode of Hazbin Hotel.
