Drop the Bomb is a studio album released in 1982 by the Washington, D.C.–based go-go band Trouble Funk. [ 1 ] [ 7 ] The album included the songs "Drop the Bomb" and "Pump Me Up" which have been sampled numerous times by many hip hop artists.
Among the band's well-known songs is the go-go anthem "Hey, Fellas". They released several studio albums including Drop the Bomb, In Times of Trouble, Live, and Trouble Over Here Trouble Over There (UK No. 54), [2] and two live albums, Trouble Funk: Straight Up Go-Go Style and Saturday Night Live.

Trouble Funk put out a few records on New Jersey–based label Jamtu before signing with one of the more powerful hip hop labels, Sugar Hill, where it released a six-track LP called Drop the Bomb in 1982, which included the hit "Pump Me Up" which had already been a regional hit years before. Maxx Kidd founded go-go label T.T.E.D. Records in 1982.
