George H. Vehslage House is a historic home located at Seymour, Jackson County, Indiana. It was built in 1894, and is a 2 + 1 ⁄ 2-story, Queen Anne style brick dwelling with a limestone foundation. It features a corner tower with a hexagonal roof, irregular floorplan, and one-story full width front porch with ornate woodwork.
Freeman Army Airfield is an inactive United States Army Air Forces base located in2.6 miles (4.2 km) south-southwest of Seymour, Indiana. Established in 1942, the base became the first military helicopter pilot training airfield. In 1944, black bomber pilots were trained at Freeman.
