Lake Saint Francis (French: lac Saint-François, pronounced [lak sɛ̃ fʁɑ̃swa]) is a lake which borders southeastern Ontario, southwestern Quebec and northern New York State. It is located on the Saint Lawrence River between Lake Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. The lake forms part of the Saint Lawrence Seaway.
The name of the town comes from the French word coteau which means "slope" and from its location on the north shore of Lake Saint Francis. [5] The National Historic Site of Canada of the Coteau-du-Lac canal is the location of the first canal lock system in North America. The city has an industrial park.
