Luis Royo (born 1954) is a Spanish artist. He is best known for his fantasy illustrations published in numerous art books, [ 1 ] magazines such as Heavy Metal [ 2 ] and various other media including book and music CD covers, video games and Tarot cards.

The combined works of Romulo Royo and Luis Royo began in 2006, where they captured their art in the Medvedev dome of 24 meters in diameter in Moscow. The whole process of this work is published in the book Dome. In 2008, he collaborated again with Luis Royo to make large format paintings that were collected in the book titled Dead Moon.
Malefic Time is a visual project created by Spanish artists Luis Royo and Romulo Royo.It is set in a post apocalyptic world that mixes reality, leading to the decay of the society, with real manifestations of mythological beliefs and superstitions of different cultures.
