Macomb's Purchase is a large historical area of northern New York in the United States purchased from the state in 1791 by Alexander Macomb, a merchant who had become wealthy during the American Revolutionary War. He acted as a land speculator, selling off portions of this land.

Today, the town name lives on as Coltonville Road in southwestern Sycamore. The townsite lies in DeKalb Township , near the cities of DeKalb and Sycamore. The old Coltonville School was located at 41°58′17″N 88°44′10″W / 41.97139°N 88.73611°W / 41.97139; -88.
When the court convened the sheriff served a court order declaring a courthouse be built in Sycamore. [4] Afterward, Coltonville eventually suffered the same fate as Brush Point and disappeared from the map.
