In fluid dynamics, pipe network analysis is the analysis of the fluid flow through a hydraulics network, containing several or many interconnected branches. The aim is to determine the flow rates and pressure drops in the individual sections of the network.

The Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, formerly the Journal of the Hydraulics Division (1956–1982), [1] is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Topics range from flows in closed conduits to free-surface flows (canals, rivers, lakes, and estuaries) to environmental fluid dynamics.
A hydraulic cylinder is the actuator or "motor" side of this system.
