The University of Redlands is a private university headquartered in Redlands, California. The university's main, residential [ 5 ] campus is situated on 160 acres (65 ha) near downtown Redlands. An additional eight regional locations [ 6 ] throughout California largely provide programs for working adults.
History class at Tuskegee, 1902. The school was founded on July 4, 1881, as the Tuskegee Normal School for Colored Teachers. This was a result of an agreement made during the 1880 elections in Macon County between a former Confederate Colonel, W.F. Foster, who was a candidate for re-election to the Alabama Senate, and a local black Leader, Lewis Adams. [9]

The Johnston Center for Integrative Studies is an alternative education program offered by the University of Redlands in Redlands, California.The Johnston Center focuses on interdisciplinary education, in which students design the curriculum for their personal program of study.
It was originally called the Tuskegee Home, part of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers system. [3] The home-hospital, eventually 27 buildings, was developed next to the Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute campus (now Tuskegee University) on 464 acres (188 ha), with 300 acres of the property donated by the institute.
