The Southern California Gas Company Complex is a group of buildings on Flower Street in Downtown Los Angeles. The main building, completed in 1925, was designed in the Renaissance Revival style by John and Donald Parkinson. It was originally used as offices by the Southern California Gas Company, but was later converted to lofts.

Its service area encompasses 23,000 sq mi (60,000 km 2) of diverse terrain throughout most of Central and Southern California, from just south of Sanger to the Mexican border.
The current skyscraper complex was built as the ARCO Plaza, with a pair of 213.3 m (700 ft) 52-story office towers. The northernmost tower became the new world headquarters for the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO), the present day Paul Hastings Tower. The southern tower became the Los Angeles headquarters of the Bank of America. [10]
The Metro Headquarters Building (or One Gateway Plaza) is a 398 ft (121 m) high rise office tower in Los Angeles, California. It is located in Northeastern Downtown Los Angeles, east across the tracks from Union Station. Completed in 1995, it serves as the main headquarters for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

The building is part of a 12-acre (4.9 ha) complex built as Occidental Center, and now known as South Park Center. In the 1960s, 70s and 80s there was a restaurant at the top of the building—The Tower—that served award-winning French cuisine. [5]
