Dickinson County is a county in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the population was 25,947. [3] The county seat is Iron Mountain. [4] Dickinson is Michigan's newest county, formed in 1891 from parts of Marquette, Menominee, and Iron counties. [2]

Dickinson served in the Minnesota Senate from 1951 to 1954 and in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1943 to 1950 and from 1961 to 1968. He was a Republican. He died at Beltrami Nursing Home in Bemidji, Minnesota from heart failure. The funeral and burial was in Bemidji, Minnesota. [1] [2]
