The Daily News, historically a successor of The Inquirer and The Inquirer and Commercial News, was an afternoon daily English language newspaper published in Perth, Western Australia, from 1882 to 1990, [1] though its origin is traceable from 1840.
The paper has an average daily weekday circulation of about 49,000. [2] The newspaper is the result of the 1995 merger of The Home News of East Brunswick (founded 1879) and The News Tribune of Woodbridge Township. The News Tribune was previously known as The Perth Amboy Evening News.
