Techniche is the annual Techno-Management festival of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati.The festival was started in 1999 by Dhirendra Sinha, a Mechanical Engineering B Tech student along with a group of students within the IIT Guwahati campus.
From 2015 onwards students enrolled in the research Doctoral Programme (awarding a Ph.D.) after either completing a B.Tech. degree or an M.Tech. one. Alcheringa, also known as "Alcher", is the annual cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati. The festival was started in 1996 by a group of students of IIT Guwahati . [ 1 ] Spread over 3 days and 4 nights, Alcheringa is conducted towards the end of January every year.
